Since Quantum Lifecycle was formed in 2019, our mission has been to simplify e-waste management and maximize end-of-life IT assets. As a growth-minded company, we continue to seek ways to meet ongoing electronics management needs with comprehensive solutions. Recently, our acquisition of Paragon Bay has enabled us to better serve the earlier stages of the asset lifecycle. Here’s a closer look at what this new development means for the future of Quantum, and for our evolving customer base.
Paragon Bay at a Glance
Paragon Bay is an Ontario-based company specializing in testing, in-warranty repairs, asset recovery, and forward and reverse logistics for electronics OEMs. They are a turnkey solutions provider to the electronics industry, supporting both B2B and B2C sectors. Initiated in 2014, their team comprises more than 60 experts. They work with both current and legacy products, performing a broad range of services including staging, warehousing, product fulfillment, product screening, repairs, and refurbishments. In addition, they can provide comprehensive OEM warranty management programs.
An Extended Lifecycle for Electronics
By adding Paragon Bay to our family, we’re able to broaden our services of in-warranty repairs, third-party logistics, and maintenance for IT assets. Our core IT asset disposition (ITAD) services have focused on assets between three and six years old, while our electronics recycling operations would handle older assets that have reached the end of their useful life. This acquisition extends our focus to accommodate assets in the earlier stages of their lifespan.
By leveraging the expertise of the Paragon Bay team, Quantum will be able to support newer assets that aren’t yet ready for refurbishment or recycling, but can have their lifecycle extended with in-warranty repairs. Organizations can still take advantage of our ITAD and e-waste recycling services for older devices, but businesses can also partner with us to service devices that are roughly three years old or newer through warranty depot programs.
With expanded storage and logistics capabilities, we can also manage all of the return and distribution processes for OEM components. High-value assets such as motherboards and other computing components are in good hands: we’re well-equipped to handle a broad range of electronics for organizations across all industries, and Paragon Bay brings years of knowledge and experience in the meticulous handling of electronics as well.
Most importantly, joining forces with Paragon Bay allows us to better serve the needs of our customers while pursuing the common goal of strengthening circularity for electronics and providing sustainable solutions for device management across their lifecycle.
Whether you’re seeking support for logistics or warranty program management, or you’re in search of ITAD or electronics recycling for your end-of-life devices, Quantum can help. In addition to our newest services, we’re also a fully audited electronics recycling company and have NAID AAA certification for data destruction.
