How does the Quantum data destruction program work?
For on-site destruction, our truck and technician will arrive at your place of business at a pre-determined time. The technician will set up a mobile workstation that includes a barcode scanner and mobile destruction unit.
Prior to destruction, the serial number barcode for each drive will be scanned into an electronic file. Once the barcode has been captured, each drive will be physically destroyed.
The process for off-site destruction (at Quantum’s facility) is the same.
Once the job is complete, the data file containing the serial numbers of the destroyed drives is converted into a Certificate of Data Destruction.
This document can be used by your IT, compliance, and security departments to verify that all data has been destroyed and is no longer accessible.
