En m\u00eame temps, les mod\u00e8les pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents sont souvent rendus inutilisables en raison d\u2019un manque de support ou de compatibilit\u00e9 avec les nouveaux d\u00e9veloppements, comme les logiciels. <\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des initiatives marketing strat\u00e9giques, les consommateurs sont amen\u00e9s \u00e0 croire qu\u2019ils ont besoin des produits les plus r\u00e9cents, m\u00eame si les am\u00e9liorations des mod\u00e8les mis \u00e0 jour sont souvent superflues. Bien que ce renouvellement rapide des produits soit probl\u00e9matique pour la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de d\u00e9chets dans n\u2019importe quelle industrie, il est particuli\u00e8rement dangereux dans le monde de l\u2019\u00e9lectronique, o\u00f9 les d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques (\u00ab e-d\u00e9chets \u00bb) peuvent avoir des effets toxiques sur notre environnement. Voici un aper\u00e7u plus approfondi des pi\u00e8ges de l\u2019obsolescence programm\u00e9e et de ce que nous pouvons faire pour y rem\u00e9dier.  <\/p>\n<h2>Qu\u2019est-ce que l\u2019obsolescence programm\u00e9e?<\/h2>\n<p>L\u2019obsolescence programm\u00e9e est une strat\u00e9gie dans laquelle des produits sont con\u00e7us pour se d\u00e9grader intentionnellement ou devenir inutilisables apr\u00e8s un certain temps, incitant les clients \u00e0 revenir pour des mises \u00e0 niveau. Combin\u00e9 aux mises \u00e0 jour annuelles des produits, les fabricants cr\u00e9ent un cycle continu d\u2019achat et de remplacement, ce qui acc\u00e9l\u00e8re la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de d\u00e9chets. <\/p>\n<p>Il existe deux types d\u2019obsolescence :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obsolescence absolue : Cela se produit lorsqu\u2019un composant d\u00e9faille m\u00e9caniquement ou que les syst\u00e8mes ne peuvent plus \u00eatre mis \u00e0 jour. Un exemple serait un appareil qui <a href=\"https:\/\/quantumlifecycle.com\/en_CA\/blog\/windows-10-is-coming-to-an-end-what-does-it-mean-for-businesses\/\">ne supporte plus les syst\u00e8mes d\u2019exploitation plus r\u00e9cents<\/a> et qui est donc rendu obsol\u00e8te. <\/li>\n<li>Obsolescence relative : Cela se produit lorsqu\u2019un produit devient de plus en plus difficile ou co\u00fbteux \u00e0 r\u00e9parer et que l\u2019option plus simple et abordable est de le remplacer. Par exemple, les t\u00e9l\u00e9phones intelligents et portables sont souvent con\u00e7us avec des batteries qui ne peuvent pas \u00eatre retir\u00e9es ou remplac\u00e9es, mais qui se d\u00e9gradent avec le temps et nuisent \u00e0 la performance de l\u2019appareil. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dans les deux cas, le besoin de remplacer un produit est souvent renforc\u00e9 par de nouvelles fonctionnalit\u00e9s commercialis\u00e9es de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 plaire aux consommateurs \u2013 m\u00eame lorsque ces ajouts ou am\u00e9liorations n\u2019am\u00e9liorent pas significativement la fonction du produit.<\/p>\n<h2>Le lien entre l\u2019obsolescence programm\u00e9e et les d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques<\/h2>\n<p>Bien que tout exc\u00e8s de d\u00e9chets g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par l\u2019obsolescence programm\u00e9e soit nuisible \u00e0 notre environnement, c\u2019est pire lorsque ces d\u00e9chets contiennent des produits chimiques nocifs. Les d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques pr\u00e9sentent de s\u00e9rieux risques environnementaux : lorsque les appareils \u00e9lectroniques ne sont pas correctement recycl\u00e9s, les appareils utilisables et d\u00e9fectueux finissent dans les sites d\u2019enfouissement, o\u00f9 leurs mat\u00e9riaux toxiques contribuent \u00e0 la pollution de l\u2019eau et de l\u2019air. <\/p>\n<p>De plus, la production de d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques g\u00e9n\u00e8re d\u2019importantes quantit\u00e9s de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, comme le dioxyde de carbone. Une \u00e9tude a montr\u00e9 que les \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre associ\u00e9es \u00e0 la production de d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques et d\u2019\u00e9lectronique <g id=\"gid_0\">ont augment\u00e9 de 53% entre 2014 et 2020<\/g>, avec 580 tonnes m\u00e9triques cr\u00e9\u00e9es rien qu\u2019en 2020. Sans intervention, 852 millions de tonnes m\u00e9triques de compos\u00e9s de dioxyde de carbone seront g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es uniquement \u00e0 partir des d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques d\u2019ici 2030.  <\/p>\n<h2>\u00c9liminer l\u2019obsolescence programm\u00e9e pour aider \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre la crise des d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques<\/h2>\n<p>Pour faire face efficacement \u00e0 la crise des d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques, des mesures doivent \u00eatre prises tant par les consommateurs que par les fabricants. Les consommateurs peuvent contribuer en <a href=\"https:\/\/quantumlifecycle.com\/en_CA\/blog\/the-role-of-individual-consumers-in-e-waste-reduction\/\">achetant des produits de haute qualit\u00e9<\/a> con\u00e7us pour la long\u00e9vit\u00e9 et en effectuant l\u2019entretien et les r\u00e9parations de routine pour prolonger la dur\u00e9e de vie de leurs appareils. Ils peuvent aussi choisir de soutenir des marques durables qui offrent des produits r\u00e9parables ou am\u00e9liorables. Enfin, lorsque les appareils \u00e9lectroniques atteignent la fin de leur dur\u00e9e de vie, les consommateurs devraient s\u2019en d\u00e9barrasser correctement gr\u00e2ce <a href=\"https:\/\/quantumlifecycle.com\/fr_CA\/blogue\/comment-les-entreprises-peuvent-elles-beneficier-de-la-certification-des-dechets-electroniques\/\">\u00e0 des programmes certifi\u00e9s de d\u00e9chets \u00e9lectroniques<\/a>.   <\/p>\n<p>Pour les fabricants, <a href=\"https:\/\/quantumlifecycle.com\/fr_CA\/blogue\/explorer-le-concept-de-gestion-responsable-des-produits-dans-le-cadre-de-la-gestion-des-dechets-electroniques\/\">d\u00e9velopper des produits avec des composants durables<\/a> et offrir des services de r\u00e9paration ou de pi\u00e8ces sera une \u00e9tape importante pour provoquer des changements. De m\u00eame, ils devraient aussi se concentrer sur la conception de produits qui peuvent \u00eatre facilement d\u00e9mont\u00e9s pour un bon recyclage. Pour faciliter un traitement en fin de vie plus simple, les fabricants peuvent aussi mettre en place des programmes de retour o\u00f9 les consommateurs peuvent retourner d\u2019anciens appareils pour un bon recyclage ou une remise \u00e0 neuf. Enfin, les entreprises devraient promouvoir la transparence avec <a href=\"https:\/\/quantumlifecycle.com\/fr_CA\/blogue\/la-nouvelle-loi-canadienne-sur-lecoblanchiment-et-ses-consequences-pour-les-entreprises\/\">des informations claires sur l\u2019impact environnemental des produits<\/a> et la disponibilit\u00e9 des services de r\u00e9paration.   <\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 mesure que la technologie continue d\u2019\u00e9voluer, consommateurs et fabricants doivent trouver l\u2019\u00e9quilibre entre innovation et responsabilit\u00e9 environnementale.
